The Council on Higher Education launched Quality Assurance Ambassadors on 25th August 2021. These are esteemed and highly experienced professionals in different fields. They are going to support quality assurance initiatives of CHE in general, and in particular with programme accreditation and registration of qualifications on the Lesotho Qualifications Framework. CHE is grateful to all the ten ambassadors for their willingness to contribute towards improvement of Higher Education in the country. They are as follows:

- Dr. Samuel Motlomelo;
- Dr. Lifelile Mpho Matsoso;
- Dr. Pulane Lefoka;
- Dr. Josephine Phiny Hansen;
- Ms Puleng Lebitsa;
- Mr. Makalo Marite;
- Dr. Malimpho Seotsanyana;
- Dr. Lineo Tsekoa; and
- Ambassador ‘Mannete ‘Malethole Ramaili.
The Minister of Education and Training, Honourable ‘Mamookho Phiri together with the CHE Council Chairperson Dr. Mohlalefi Sefika launched the ambassadors. She expressed her happiness on their appointment and assured the ambassadors that CHE has full support of the Ministry of Education and Training in delivering its mandate. Thus, the ambassadors also will get all the necessary support. Chairperson of Council on his part pointed to the importance of the higher education system being geared towards producing graduates who can predominantly provide employment instead of being job seekers. The Chief Executive of CHE Dr. Ntoi outlined the mandate of CHE to the ambassadors indicating that CHE is charged with the responsibility to accredit programmes offered by Higher Education Institutions, and to manage implementation of the Lesotho Qualifications Framework (LQF) among others.
Following the official launch, by the Honourable Minister, the ambassadors were inducted for two days on how CHE works and their expected role towards supporting it to achieve its mandate. Now that they have been fully inducted, they will be engaged in different work assignments immediately over the next two years.
