CHE Welcomes New Chief Executive

Dr. Moeketsi Letele comes in with a breath of fresh air as the third Chief Executive of the Council on Higher Education (CHE). He started his tour of duty at the apex of the higher education regulatory body on 2^nd June 2025. He is not a newcomer at CHE, in fact, this is home-coming for him, as he worked here from 2020 – 2022. He comes back after gathering valuable managerial and leadership experience from the Institute of Development Management (IDM) and Lesotho College of Education (LCE). CHE is very happy to welcome him back. He comes at a time when the organisation has established a solid foundation on which to strengthen the culture and practice of quality assurance within higher education institutions. Comprehensive implementation of the Lesotho Qualifications Framework is among areas that will enjoy his attention. Much is expected from him towards consolidating the gains that have been made, and in charting the way forward in advancing higher education in the Kingdom. Welcome Back Home Dr. Letele!!
